Phoenix

A couple of weeks since Kerry went home and about a week since Sue & Mark arrived. S & M are heading south tomorrow toward Tucson as there is quite a lot to see in that area, they will be back here in a couple of days and then head off on their adventure across the country to New York.

I bought a bike on market place to cycle some of the many excellent bike ways in Phoenix.

Leaving Pine Top & South to Tombstone

The trip down from the mountains was enjoyable except when there was a 30 car pile up across the median strip on the freeway. We then headed south to Tombstone to the site of the gun fight at OK coral, which was re-enacted very professionally.

Tomorrow Kerry heads back to Australia, so I won't be doing much travelling or looking around as Yvonne & I have pretty much covered the western half of the country. As such there will be slim picins on this blog.

Kerry with the warhead of a Titan ICBM. We were going to do the tour of the underground missile silo, but the tour was cancelled due to some maintenance.

The long term storage area of air liners in the desert near Tucson. There are hundreds of every make and model

Someone near the storage area got a 747 fuselage and are using it as a giant shed.

Heading home

A few final pics & vids. This will be the last post on this very limited blog. I am sitting at the LA airport waiting to board a flight...
